On Sundays I will ask a question(s) for you to answer. Only a couple of words are needed but can say a lot about who you are and what you like. Tune in every Sunday to find out a Question(s) for You.

Two Questions for you this lazy Sunday afternoon:

1) What did you do with your extra hour of sleep you got?

2) What is your favorite piece of Candy?

U2 on Youtube
You might have heard of this band before…You know the great band of all time….U2
They played a little show that was aired on youtube the other day. It truly was one of the best shows I have eve been too and I enjoyed it from my basement with several other friends on twitter. Check it out below.

Forgive Don’t Forget
This is a prison ministry that has decided to share the stories of prison inmates and encourage them along their journey. They have started a campaign called forgive don’t forget. It is a chance for you to partner with their ministry and a prison inmate. You buy a t shirt and it helps support a prisoner by buying them a dress shirt and a tie for them to go on job interviews.

The title kind of says it all, would you protest Black Friday?
Let me illustrate with a story….
I was standing in line with hundreds of women. No this was not a dream or even a fantasy, it was a reality. It was cold, dark, and raining. We were all huddled together outside of Kohl’s department store waiting for the door to open so we could buy jeans for 4 bucks. We waited for about 15 minutes and then the doors opened. You would have thought that all of us were dying because we were running out of oxygen and the best way to save your life was to get into the store and breathe the fresh air. People were pushing, shoving, yelling, and biting to get to the front. The culmination of the struggle to get inside came when an elderly lady fell down and no one stopped to help her up. I have never seen so many people just start grabbing clothes. They didn’t care what size, style or color they were, they just grabbed because it was marked down to %80 off. At that moment I was ashamed. I was ashamed to be in that building, I was ashamed to even be apart of the madness. For the next 3 hours I watched and observed. I wondered what this would look like to aliens? You know, the other people in the world who do not live in the United States. The ones that work 18 to 20 hours a day for $1.89? You probably have been in this situation before, ashamed to be apart of a system of consumerism and greed. And yet I was quickly snapped out of it when I found 1 gig memory sticks for 5 bucks.

Black Friday is the worst day of the year.

There is this guy, his name is Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee), he believes in this idea of the “thank you economy.” He is not a politician and he has nothing to do with fixing the economy. No, he is more concerned with you and your economy. See Gary V is a guy that is what Chris Brogan calls an overnight success (watch those videos, amazing). He works 18 hr work weeks 7 days a week and has built up a huge online platform. Gary V just released a book that a lot of the “experts’ said would not sell, he is currently number 2 on New York Times Best Seller list.
The reason Gary V knew that his book would sell is because we live in a “thank you economy.”

Snap Shot of your day happens each Wednesday. It gives us a chance to tell a story about our day with a couple of shots from our phones or digital cameras.
It could be a pic outside your window, a pic of a friend, or a pic of your bed.
Twitter it out (use this hashtag #snapshotofday) blog about it, or leave a comment, but make sure you let others know what you are doing today with a couple of pics.

This picture is from the story conference. They did a backstage broadcast and I have been tuning in all day. To be honest there has not been a whole lot of live feed going on, but what has made it worth the time spent is the conversation that has been taking place in the chat room. This is where I have spent most of my morning. The afternoon was spent helping my sister feel better (she is sick) and tending to the fire.

YOU?
