Archives For November 2010

I love music. Enough to listen to it non-stop, play an instrument, and even start a blog about music.

It is natural to play a game with music.

Today I introduce to you Music Shuffle Roulette:

You probably cannot see it if you are reading this in goo reader. Come to see video here
It is going to be really hard for you to participate in this contest without watching the video above. But for those who cannot immediately you can participate by putting you’re (is that the right grammar use there with you’re?) music library on shuffle and share with us the readers in the comment section the first 3 songs that appear.

If you want to participate in the contest to win a $10 gift card to iTunes you can also guess the 3 songs that I played in the video as well as tweet this little contest to get others involved.

This is a fun little way to see the musical taste of the community. I cannot wait to see what everyone shares.

Read. Set. Shuffle

NOTE: You can use the little tweet button to the left to tweet this out as well as you can just tweet your own message and use this link

[EDIT: Winner of this little fun game is Josh]

I am a huge U2 fan, I mean huge.

And so anything with Bono and the Edge is amazing. Watching this piece from 60 minutes on Sunday night was so inspiring I checked airline prices for tickets to New York. To say that I wanted to see this broadway play is an understatement. But as I watched this piece a superstar arose from the pack. Yes, Bono and the Edge are amazing, but I think the true genius of this piece is Julie Taymor.

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better.
Lets just call it Question(s) for You.

You can answer them all or just one

1) Did you go shopping on Black Friday? If so, what was your best deal?

2) Turkey or Ham?

3) If you had to choose…laffy taffy or M&M’s?

Answer them all or just one….these are questions for you.

Have you ever found yourself full of ideas but not full of follow through? It seems like it is much easier to have ideas then to have execution. After hearing several people tell me that they had thought about doing something like I decided to record some thoughts on ideas and follow through.

you might be missing this video if you are reading this in google reader. see it here

As simple as it sounds to share an idea, it is possibly one of the hardest things. It is dangerous, scary, and often filled with the unknown.

Will it make sense? Will others think it is stupid? Can I do it? Will it work?
These are just a couple of questions that might surround your ideas. Each question is real and honest, but often times these are the exact questions that hold us back from ever turning that idea or dream into a reality.

I would love for you to take up the challenge.
Share your idea here with us today.

We will not steal it, in fact we will encourage you and maybe even help refine and resource your idea.

The Challenge

Share an idea you have and 2 to 3 steps you are taking to make the idea a reality.

Ready Set Go….

Every once and a while you get an idea and you run with it.

I have had the idea to start a new blog that focused on something very specific. A blog that went far beyond an identity of a person (me) and spread to a community of enthusiast. A blog that was not only fun to write, but also made profit and had a social presence.

Friends, the time has come for me to launch is all about what you would expect…music. The name goes far beyond Tuesday and really gets into the amazingness that each Tuesday brings. The excitement can be felt as you anticipate the new albums that are available to purchase and listen to with each and every Tuesday. Now, that day can be experience everyday on

There are tons of new features, ideas, and cotent that I could tell you about here on this site, but I want you to head over to and check out some what its all about.

You could do me a huge favor and follow Music Tuesday on twitter as well as send out some tweet love about the new site.
I would be grateful.

Thanks and its time to Discover the Noise.
