The Two Sides Of Money

Money is good.
Money funds ideas, dreams, and missions.

Money is bad.
Money fuels happiness, addiction, and desire.

The face of money is two sided.
The good and the bad. And yet money fuels our soul. It is the currency that pushes us forward.

It is okay to make money, it is not okay to use it to buy happiness.
It is okay to spend money, it is not okay to use it to sponsor addiction.
It is okay to accumulate money, it is not okay to desire its power.

Money was meant  to fuel your….Ideas, Dreams, Mission.

Which side of money will you use?

Music Tuesday: Alert

There is a genre of music that I often leave out on Music Tuesday. It is a large genre that is not my favorite but every once and a while I find someone I like. It is the genre of hip hop.
Today I want to tell you about a band that I heard the other day that got my attention. “Alert” is the very band that grabbed my attention and I think they will do the same for you.

Enjoy this different side of Music Tuesday

Question(s) for You

Questiokj

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better.

Lets just call it Question(s) for You.

1) Pepsi or Coke?

2) The latest book you read was _______________?

3) Biggest pet peeve?

Answer them all or just one….these are Questions for You.

How Much Would It Cost For You To Not Go To College?

Yesterday I wrote a post entitled “Why I Shouldn’t Have Gone To College” and mentioned a guy by the name of Peter Thiel, founder of paypal. He had an interesting quote about the educational bubble, but also has an interesting idea to combat that educational bubble.

Check out his response to education and his plan to change it all:

Why I Shouldn’t Have Gone To College

I have learned more in the past 6 months than I have in the past 6 years” is probably not a good conversation starter that you want to use on your parents any time soon. But the simple fact is, I am learning so much about life, leadership, and business right now that I have a hard time keeping my excitement to myself.

Do not tell my parents this, but College was a huge waste of time. Forgive this obvious ignorance, this is not to be a blanket statement. Not all of college is a waste of time, but there were aspects that seemed rather pointless. The money spent, the time wasted and the pointless classes all have led me to believe college isn’t all that it is cracked up to be. College can be more like a place to hide rather then a place to excel.

Dream with me here, what if instead of going to college right after high school we started a business, traveled the world, moved to a different city, or even invested the money in the stock market? What if we did it all different then what we were told to do?

Going To A Worship Service Online

Lifechurch.tv has been “doing” church online for a while now. And as someone who just started getting involved with church online stuff I am always fascinated by how they deliver their service online.

Tony (who is seriously the man) posted this video on his blog the other day and I thought I would share it with you.
I love the idea behind this.
Simply they set up in a room, invited friends and played some music. This is used during their service for different pieces of the worship service. Feels very community driven.
