#CreativeBlocks And You

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

Yesterday, there was a movement that was taking place that honestly I do not know if very many knew was going to happen.

This movement centered around some bloggers and the subject of #CreativeBlocks.

Below you can see the bloggers who participated in this writing. It obviously was a planned synchroblog that really had a lot of great content. You can read below the participants:

But something happened yesterday that I do not think anyone could really predict. A community started to form.

Don’t believe me? Go and check out the #CreativeBlocks hastag (big ups to Jeff Goins for creating this hashtag idea and leading it out).

And then look below this. Look at all the submissions of people joining in the creative blocks community to share their experience with different creative blocks. 26 other bloggers have joined in on this movement to tackle the subject of #CreativeBlocks that relate to their area of expertise, experience, or passion.

Today I want to ask you to join us in this movement. Write a blog post about the #CreativeBlocks that you face and then submit the link below and join the growing community.

Also be sure to check out all these great folks who wrote yesterday:

Kyle Reed. You continue to impress me!

ha, well thank you for that.

      Did you submit your stuff?

      • Anonymous

Um. Well. No sir… I don’t have any “stuff” to submit right now. ;) I’m thinking about how, if I’m feeling blocked in one creative outlet, I just switch mediums… Just gotta make time to write it. How long is this push going on? Just today? Or a while?

        • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com @kylereed

It will be up for a while, so feel free to submit it in.

Kyle, this was a GREAT example of how a powerful campaign can organically grow out of humble beginnings. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of it!  BTW, I’d love to talk with you live sometime about working with you (read that as pay you) to help me redesign my blog – if you’d be interested.  Also, I know you’ve publicly stated that your looking for a mentor and I’d like to get a bit of texture from you as to what specifically you envision.  Feel free to email me (torconbooks@gmail.com) and I’ll send you my number if you’d like to chat.

Ok, so just caught on to why everyone is writing about creative blocks!! Well done on the idea and the community it’s built, I love it!!! (I’d join the party but I just started a series on my blog that’s pretty specific, but when it’s done I’m sure to be a late participant!!)

would love to read some stuff from you Rich. This post will be up for a while. So feel free to finish up that series and then write some creative stuff.

      Thanks
