Has the Race Began?

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

As I was reflecting on a message I heard a couple of days ago
about starting and finishing the race
I started to wonder when does that race begin?
Some think the race begins when you leave high school.
For others they think when you get married.
For me I think it begins around 6th grade.

Now you might be wondering what this race is I am refering too?
Check out what 1st Corinthians 9:24-25 and Philippians 3 have to say
about this “race” and then check back in.

I hate running, therefore I hate racing. But this is a metaphor for life.
Life can be looked on as a race that will be completed some day.
Along the race we have many hurdles, times of exhaustion, and
of utter agony. And yet at the end of the race, there is a reward.
A reward that last way past the medal ceremony, it last forever.
What I was wondering from you the blog world is when does
this race begin for most?
What was presented was that Seniors in high school are getting
ready to start the race when they graduate. I really think guys and girls
that are in 6/7th grade are in the race of their lives right now.
Trying to make it through the first turn without falling.

What do you think? Has it begun?
