If you ever take a listen to the majority of the basic chord structure of some of the current pop songs, they all feature variations on the *exact* same progression. Admittedly, they transpose keys but still - I'm convinced the labels responsible for manufacturing the music simply stick with what sells the most. It's about money, not the art, and that sucks. There are a couple of songs here and there that I like - namely from artists like Michael Jackson - but the modern music scene is pretty terrible. So no. I've not bought any of these albums. Nor will I ever. The only band I've come close to buying is Green Day and I've not gotten into anything they've done since 1994 or so. I've never been into pop music.
