Music Tuesday: Jars of Clay

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

One of my favorite things about Music Tuesday is finding music to listen to that I would normally not buy but will listen to music online. Today, I think I have found just the example. Last week I featured Taylor Swifts new album Speak Now, today we are going to check out Jars of Clay.

Let me be really upfront and honest with you, I am not a Jars of Clay fan.

In fact, about five years ago I wrote a post about a Jars of Clay concert I attended that should have been a Derek Webb concert. Its an interesting post from five years ago me, entitled, No, Its the Derek Webb Concert.

So to feature Jars of Clay as the artist for Music Tuesday must mean they are doing something right with their latest album,  the Shelter, or they paid me (ya right).

I told you I was being honest with you before, let me be honest with you again, I really like this new album. It is a great collaboration between artist you may know and artist you have not heard of but maybe need to check out.

I will be interested to hear your thoughts after you listen.

Check it out:

cannot hear it in that google reader of yours? come here to listen
if it is not showing up you can go and listen to it on grooveshark here.

Got a favorite song?

Mine: We Will Follow (lyrics here)

You?

      ya I can understand that.

I guess for me I put it up against all their other stuff and this one really stood out to me, but I definitely understand what you are saying.

I can’t pick a favorite! I love most of the collaborations. Out of My Hands because I love Mike Donehey’s voice & passion. I love We Will Follow. And one you don’t have up is Amy Grant & Benediction.
