Question(s) for You

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better. Lets just call Question(s) for You.

You can answer them all or just one….

1) What do you do in the car? Listen to Radio, CD Player, Text?

2) The iPad, your impressions?

3) What church service do you go to? Saturday night, early service or late service?

Answer them all or just one….these are questions for you.

    1. Always listen to music in the car. Or talk with whoever is in the car.
    2. I think the ipad is cool. I won't get one, i'm happy with my mac and samsung cell phone
    3. I usually attend all three services we have on sundays to help out and such. and We have our college group sunday nights.

    • @kylelreed

      You are busy on Sunday's

  • Stephanie Nelson

    1. Radio “The Wood” specifically. I like no commercials and think their selection of music is quirky and good. However, if I'm on a looooong trip, like going back home to Nebraska and am in the car for 10 hours? ipod all the way. it's usually a mixture of music and sermons and an occasional movie or tv show. (Top Chef, usually)

2.) My impression of the iPad is that I'm sick of hearing about it already. And I don't want one, which is unlike every other apple product. And it really needs a new name.

3.) I go to Central's evening service, Trio. If i'm leading worship or on hospitality crew for the night, I will typically attend West Hills' morning service because it's so close to the seminary. (They say it's good for those who work in the church to attend a worship service where they don't have any responsibilities.) Plus, I really like it there.

    • @kylelreed

Oh ya, I enjoy listen to “the wood” as well. Had a friend who had a show on there for a while.
      Where do you lead at?

      • Stephanie Nelson

At Central's evening service, Trio. (the one I mentioned in my comment)

        • @kylelreed

oh okay, well where is that? I have not heard of this church before.

          • Stephanie Nelson

Central Presbyterian Church. It's in Clayton… not too far from the Galleria. If you take 40E to the Brentwood Exit, then continue on to Hanley, turn left and it's just past the Clayton Rd and Hanley intersection.

    1. Drive

    2. An attractive media device you'll actually enjoy looking at.

    3. All of them.

    • @kylelreed

Glad to know you go to all your services. And I do know that you drive and while driving get tickets and have stories to tell.

  • Zac Cross

    1. Mostly listen to music, but on my hour to work I sometimes *ducks* read twitter */ducks*
    2. I think it would be cool to win one from Jon Acuff. Otherwise, its lack of flash is a huge deal breaker for me. I'll wait to see if Google makes one. I also hate Apples policy of eliminating any tinkering. I use Ubuntu (linux) as my operating system because it has the exact opposite policy. Plus free upgrades on everything forever!
    3. Sunday morning. Probably 6-9 months of the year we help with the youth on Sunday evenings.

    • @kylelreed

Don't text and drive, at least that is what the experts say. But sometimes I do it as well.
Ya, it would be cool to win one for Jon, but there are like 1000 comments. Good luck.

    1. Listen to the iPod and Sirius. It's gotten to the point where there is nothing on popular radio that I like.
    2. Underwhelmed. Not really impressed, though I do think there's a market for it (just not really with geeks that like to code..).
    3. Usually 11am. Tonight, 6pm via the web.

    • @kylelreed

I think that market is what is going to do well. The uniformed…ones that just want to watch movies and play games.

  • Matt @ The Church of No People

Hey Kyle, I saw you're being featured over on Revelife now too. That's pretty cool. They pick up my blog once in a while.

I listen to the radio – jazz, NPR, embarassing pop/rock or talk radio on the AM.
The iPad is way too expensive even for something “magical.”
Our church just has Sunday morning.

    • @kylelreed

Really, where is that at? I had not seen that.

Nothing wrong with Jazz or NPR. I am a fan of Miles Davis myself.

And you are right, how do you sell magic.

  • Casey

    1. Radio…CDs when traveling long distances.
    2. I don't really care…can't afford it anyways. :)
    3. Sunday morning service…it's the only service we have.
