Question(s) for You

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better.
Lets just call it Question(s) for You.

You can answer them all or just one

1) Would you rather be hot or cold?

2) Best album you have bought in the last 3 weeks?

3) When is it acceptable to put up Christmas lights and your tree?

Answer them all or just one….these are questions for you.

    haha nice post idea.

    1) I would rather be cold. (not frozen mind you, just cold)

    2) Best album…i dunno how long ago it came out but, Brooke Fraser: Flags
Worst album by far was Good Charlotte: Cardiology

    3) Thanksgiving day and beyond is acceptable for Christmas stuff.

    • Kyle Reed

Sounds like me and you agree on a lot of things. I am a fan of the cold, just not being freezing cold.
And I definitely could have told you not to waste your money at all on good charlotte. You deserve some sort of refund.

    1) I like both, but if I had to choose I would go with cold, but not to cold. Like a luke-cold (opposite of luke-warm) with a nice frost on the ground. Just cold enough for a sweater but not cold enough for a heavy coat.

    2) So Long Forgotten. In the past three weeks this has been the album that I go back to time and again to listen and enjoy. I liked it so much that after downloading it on for free I tipped them $10. Check it out for sure.

    3) I don’t do that stuff…thats what parents are for right? I guess a week after Thanksgiving or when the weather is decent.

  • Laura Anne

    1. Hot. I can’t stand being even a little bit cold. I have no idea what God was thinking when he created me in the womb of a Scottish woman.

    2. I haven’t bought an album in years. Purely because I have no spare cash for such luxuries that I used to take for granted.

    3. Advent Sunday and no sooner! I always put mine up on December 1st.

    • Kyle Reed

nice, sounds like you need to check out to get you some new music. Free and awesome.

  • Crystal Renaud

    1. Cold
    2. Carrie Underwood — Play On
    3. Thanksgiving Weekend

    • Kyle Reed

I didn’t even know she had a new album out.
Well I guess Taylor Swift wins the award for best use of social media and getting my attention from country music singers.

  • Andy Darnell

    1) Hot
    2) 3 weeks? I guess the only album that I downloaded in the past three weeks was a veggie tales christmas album from Amazon that was free.
    3) I wouldn’t mind putting them up now, however, my wife says only after Thanksgiving. Therefore, we typically do it the Sat or Sun after Thanksgiving.

    • Kyle Reed

smart move listening to the wife.
And veggie tales Christmas, that can’t be the only thing you have gotten in the last three weeks? that needs to be remedied.

  • Shelby

    1. Hot please i hate cold.
    2. ummmm i don’t think i’ve bought anything in like 2 months, too broke…. but i downloaded that so long forgotten, haven’t had the chance to listen to it though. Must get on that
    3. After Thanksgiving is what my family has always done

    • Kyle Reed

you need to listen. Very very good.
And you didn’t get the needtobreathe live album. I figured you would find a way to buy that thing

      • Shelby

Oh i didn’t buy it…. boyfriend’s mom gave it to me.
haha but i had it the day it came out!!

        • Kyle Reed

thats a good mother in law right there.

  • Lexi MacKinnon

    1) Cold… I HATE the summer and absolutely LOVE the winter! I love walking outside and breathing in the crisp COLD air… it’s my fav!

    2) I don’t ever buy albums… I buy my favorite songs off i-tunes…rarely a whole album.

3)I love Christmas time…so the earlier the better. I would have a Christmas tree up year-round if the real ones could stay alive that long. I also like Christmas lights inside year-round. As far as on the house… I think the day of or day right after Thanksgiving is acceptable.

    • Kyle Reed

well you better get use to the heat :)

      • Laura Anne

Lexi, where you located? If you like being cold, you’ll LOVE Scotland! Maybe we can swap places?? :-)

  • Prudence

    1) Would you rather be hot or cold? Cozy. Which I guess would be just warm. I live in extreme heat during the summer and hate that but can’t stand to be cold.

    2) Best album you have bought in the last 3 weeks? We’ve only bought one album in the last three weeks which was Brooke Fraser. I’ve not listened to that. Before that would be Kings of Leon’s new album.

    3) When is it acceptable to put up Christmas lights and your tree? Thanksgiving Weekend.

Answer them all or just one….these are questions for you.

    • Kyle Reed

perfect. I agree and approve your album purchases. Both good records.

  • Julie Kolb

    1) Hot
    2) Little Big Town
    3) Doesn’t matter when you put them up as long as, at some point, you take them down

    • Kyle Reed

little big town, what is that? or who is that?

      • Julie Kolb

The group..No clue what the name of their latest album is..I just buy and listen…hahahah

        • Kyle Reed

okay gotcha. Ya I do the same, as long as it sounds good I am happy.
          I will check them out.

  • Jenny

    1. Cold.
    2. Feedback by Derek Webb. I like to play ut while I smoke my pipe and reflect.
3.Asap. I want a pez dispenser Christmas tree. Thanksgiving break..: it’s happening!

    • Kyle Reed

so glad you mentioned this album. Absolutely loving it myself. I listen to it while I work

  • blair

1 – cold. hoodies are my absolute favorite thing to wear. i live in vegas and i DESPISE the heat. go figure.

2 – every tuesday, new glee music comes out. so of course i hafta buy it. i’m obsessed and i don’t care who knows it. i also bought the soundtrack to ‘where the wild things are’. love karen o.

3 – the week of thanksgiving is ideal time for christmas decor.

    • Kyle Reed

glee, seriously? that cannot count. sorry

  • Christy Polek

    1. Cold. And I don’t get enough cold in CA, so I’m moving to Chicago.
    2. I know I’m super behind, but I just bought Mumford & Sons on vinyl. I’ve just been listening on Grooveshark since it came out, and now I own it. And of course, love it.
    3. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so no Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving.

    • Adam Lehman

Mumford & Sons on Vinyl is pure awesomeness!

      • Kyle Reed

I would absolutely love to hear that.

  • Adam Lehman

    1. Hot
    2. Didn’t buy album, but have been overwhelmbed by sweet tunes via Aweditorium iPad app.
    3. November.

    • Kyle Reed

I haven’t heard of that app, but sounds like I need to check it out. Thanks

  • shellie (baylormum)

    1. Hot, except when it’s hot flashes.

    2. JJ Heller, When I’m with You. Love her acoustic sound & her crystal clear voice & the lyrics.

    3. Thanksgiving weekend. Except this year. Going back to TX for 2 1/2 weeks in Dec, so putting out minimal stuff here.

    • Kyle Reed

one thing I am very thankful that I do not have to experience…hot flashes and giving birth.

  • wvpv

    1. Cold. (You can always put on more clothes)
    2. Blondie / Greatest Hits (sucker for 80’s music)
    3. The week before Christmas. (Scrooge, I know)

    • Kyle Reed

wow, that is an interesting purchase. And a week before, you need some more Christmas spirit

  • Michael

    1. Hot.
    2. The last album I bought was The Ascendicate’s newest album and that was months ago.
    3. The day after Thanksgiving.

    • Kyle Reed

never heard of the Ascendicates, but will need to now.

  • adie gateley

    oh, this is fun…

    1) Cold, most def. Not like snot-freezing-cold, but the type of day you can go hiking in layers and peel them off as you warm up…

    2) Nothing in the past three weeks, but something great: Visions of Backbeat by Boombox with Midnight on the Run track as a fav. Great driving or blogging music…

    3) Christmas lights are the perfect night lighting all year round in my house, and Ive never done the tree thing before…maybe a life size tree decal on the wall this year…

    • Kyle Reed

      never a tree? interesting.

you have a link for the music?

  • Ryan Peters

    1. I’m an American living in the 21st century, I dont have to worry about being too hot or cold. :)
    2. Sufjan- Age Of Adz- crazy, but really good crossover to electronic stuff
    3. After Thanksgiving fo sho. Last year Walmart (the evil empire) almost ruined Christmas for me when I walked in the day after Haloween only to hear blaring Christmas music. Terrible.

    • Kyle Reed

ha, I am an american. Whatever.

And sufjans album is great. I really dig it. even the song with the f word in it. that might be my favorite actually.

  • Caleb

When I was a kid, we always put up our tree the day after thanksgiving. I’m putting up our lights this coming weekend, but I’m not turning them on until after thanksgiving.

    • Kyle Reed

I think that is the way I would go, put them up now and then turn them on after Christmas. Good call
