Question(s) for You

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better.

Lets just call it Question(s) for You.

You can answer them all or just one

1) Would you rather give a gift or receive a gift?

2) So there are 2 shows on television, and only 2 shows on television, one is Kate plus 8 and the other is Sarah Palin’s show, which one do you watch and why?

3) Is there a christmas gift that you are giving this year that you want to brag about and share what it is with us?

Answer them all or just one….these are questions for you.

    1. I would rather give a gift – I love giving gifts!

    2. I would switch off the television in protest and read a book, tweet, blog or watch a DVD instead.

    3. I’m just hoping my gifts arrive on time – 2 weeks of snow, a week off and now snow again means that all my orders have been delayed!

    • Kyle Reed

ya that would not be good if they didn’t arrive on time. I hope they do.

  • Shelby

    1. I like giving but receiving is fun to (is anyone actually going to say they like receiving more than giving?)
    2. Sarah Palin, Kate Gosselin is a whiney brat.
    3. Most of my gifts are home-made this year, i’m making cookies from scratch, cinnamon honey butter, I’ve made two journals for friends which I am SUPER proud of, first time using a hot glue gun by myself lol. and I got my boyfriend a mug that says STUD and has a muffin under it. lol

    • Kyle Reed

you could probably say the same about palin :)

And that sounds like an awesome mug. Where did you get it?

      • Shelby

I found the mug at TJ Maxx

  • Michael

    1. Definitely give. So much more fun.
    2. Can I answer with option C? That would be the option where I turn the TV off and watch my reflection on the screen. Because that would be riveting.
    3. I just sent my wife to New York City. It has been a dream of hers to go and visit there since she was a little girl. She met up with her best friend who is in the military. They hadn’t seen each other for nearly 6 years.

    • Kyle Reed

wow, that sounds like an amazing present. I am sure she absolutely loved it. Great idea.
And I guess you can have an option c

  • Jenny

    1. I get really excited to give and plan out the surprise. But I like the suspense of opening up a present too.
    2. Kate because Sarah Palin is yeah…
    3. I can’t keep surprises. My sisters all know what they are getting because I have already told them. Most of my gifts were stupid silly stuff. Like my sister is getting a massive picture of John Mayer shirtless for her dorm room. :D

    • Kyle Reed

who wouldn’t want a giant picture of John Mayer?

  • Kirk Bolen

I would gouge my eyes out before watching either show.
” If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. ” matthew 5:29

    • Kyle Reed

haha, way to incorporate some scripture in there.

  • kelybreez

    1. Everyone loves getting a gift; me, too. But I like giving a gift IF I think it’s the right gift for a person. If I can’t figure it out… iTunes gift card.

    2. Sarah Palin, with the sound off, to see the scenery in Alaska. (Really, though, I watch sports and old movies. That is all.)

    3. Nope.

    • Kyle Reed

there you go, way to problem solve. I am sure alaska is beautiful

  • Alicia

    1. I would rather give a gift. I love loving on my family and friends.

    2. Um. I second someone else on here – read a book.

    3. I got my mom an iPod touch? I guess I am excited about this because I don’t even have one.. and she’s wanted an iPod FOREVER and doesn’t even know how to use one!

    • Kyle Reed

that would be awesome to have. That is a pretty big gift. I am sure she will love it.

  • Jason Vana

    1. Definitely would rather give than receive

    2. Neither – I would turn off the TV and do something else. Course, I’m not a huge TV watcher anyways. I would rather read than watch TV.

    3. I bought my brother a new Wii. Normally he never tells me what he wants and always goes out and buys whatever he wants (some years I bought him something he had just bought for himself), and ends up with just some gift cards, but he put his life on hold the past few months to help take care of some sick family members, and he mentioned he wanted a Wii in passing, so I wanted to do something special for him this year.

    • Kyle Reed

wow, that is a good brother. I am sure he is going to love getting that.

  • shellie (baylormum)

    1. Give.

    2. I am glad to see I agree with most comments!! I would switch the tv off. And not just the sound!

    3. I made my Dad cry with joy in August when I told him we would be coming to spend Christmas with him (and my 2 bro’s & their fams) since it is his 1st in 57 years without Mom. I’m the oldest & the only girl, so, well, he doesn’t like that I am now 2000 miles away!

    • Kyle Reed

that is probably the best gift you could give him.

  • Jody

    1. Give. I love love love (that’s a lot of love) giving gifts to people.
    2. Kate – she has cute kids and their are 8 of them…crazy. can you even imagine?
    3. I’m really excited about our present to our dad. He never “wants” anything so for the past few years he always wanted us to get adopt a kid at Christmas or buy someone in Asia a goat. This year he has fallen in love with the weekend backpack program in our home town that sends kids on the free lunch program home with food for the weekend and Holidays. He volunteers to fill the backpacks and on Christmas morning will open a little backpack and learn that we sponsored a kid for next semester in his name. :-) Our family gathering always involve food so our Papa Bear will love it

    • Kyle Reed

wow, now that is cool. Sounds like you picked the perfect gift for your dad or should I say papa bear :)

  • Tyler

    1 receive, im selfish
2 sarah palin. at least with her i have a good chance of watching an awesome part of alaska that i’ve been to.
3 i bought 4 chickens in the honor of someone. kinda excited about it.

    • Kyle Reed

I guess I can see your point on Palin. I would go with the little kid factor over scenery, but you hardly ever see the kids on Kates show.

And I like the chicken idea. Is that through world vision?
