Question(s) for You

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better.

Lets just call it Question(s) for You.

You can answer them all or just one

1) Would you rather ski or snowboard?

2) What is one skill you wish you had? (like painting, drawing, musical, athleticism, etc…)

3) Can you share a quote that you read recently that inspired you?

Answer them all or just one….these are questions for you.

    1. snowboard
    2. I wish I could sing
    3. Psalm 126:1, “When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.” I came across it the other day and it blew my mind.

why that passage, what did it say to you?

      • http://theperkinsblog.net Michael

For 3 months I have been suffering from depression. But recently, and through this passage especially, it was like God said that it’s okay to dream again. Towards the end of that Psalm it says that those who sow with tears will reap with joy. I believe that the joy is coming because the tears have been sown for such a long time.

    1) I’ve never had the opportunity to do either, but I would like to try both.
    2) Singing- it seems kind of cruel that I had years of “ear training” when studying piano and can tell how I bad I am.
    3) “Give to Caesar what is Caesar, and give to God what is God’s,” but everything is God’s, isn’t it?

    1) Snowboard, it’s been about 5 years
    2) I wish I wasn’t so awesome, and skilled at everything. Oh, and maybe the skill of being humble.
    I kid.
I would love to be skilled at cars, which I’m working on…

      Great quote

    1. Neither… too cold, I’d rather be in the ski lodge in a comfy chair reading a book by the fire.
    2. Singing
    3. “Have courage for the great sorrows in life and patience for the small ones, and when you have finished all your daily tasks go to sleep in peace, God is Awake” -Victor Hugo

come on, you are from Wisconsin…unacceptable

  • http://www.cartoonrebellion.net Jenny

    1. Either. I learned to ski as a little girl, and i scared my mom pretty badly. Im kind of a klutz. I went snow shoeing in alaska earlier this month and really enjoyed it, so who knows maybe that’s what i’ll stick to instead.

    2. Speaking perfect spanish. I know some. My mom’s fluent. I’d love to talk to my people and when I do I barely get by. They know me as the crazy white girl with bad spanish, I am sure of it. Today i met a spanish speaking couple digging in the dumpster. I would’ve loved to tell them i had food. And asked if they had needs. My spanish is terrible though, all i could do was tell them what room to come to. They didn’t come. Broke my heart. I NEED TO KNOW SPANISH! (I’m learning)

    3. This quote is on my quote board still from last week and i love it. “Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illumines it” -Martin Luther King jr.

snowboarding is very very difficult, skiing was the easiest thing I have done.
I am with you, I like to stay on my feet and not face-plant.

  • http://www.jessiwhitt.wordpress.com Jessi

    1. I live 30 minutes away from a ski resort, but I’ve never done either. I’ve always wanted to snowboard though! That’s one of the things on my bucket list.
    2. I wish I were bilingual. You would think that with 4 years of Spanish in high school that I would be awesome at speaking it, but not so much.

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

I am so jealous of you and where you live, you have to take advantage of that.
And yes, i went through 3 years of spanish and have not a clue of how to speak it. I wish I could
