Question(s) for You

Sunday provides us a day to relax, reflect, and refuel. On Sunday’s I like to sit back and ask a couple of questions. Maybe it sounds a little like those awkward games you play with people you do not know so that you can get to know each other better.

Lets just call it Question(s) for You.

1) Did you fall for any April Fools jokes? What were they?

2) If you could get one thing for free right now what would it be?

3) What is your favorite brand of gum?

Answer them all or just one….these are Questions for You.

    1) Fortunately this April Fool’s I didn’t. Although sometimes they’re fun! :)

    2) If you could get one thing for free right now, it would be a new custom designed MacBook Pro. I love my baby right now, but I’m due for an upgrade soon.

    3) I really like Orbit.

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

a custom MBP would be pretty cool to have. I would max that thing out

  • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

    1) my April fools joke was me saying the cubs would win the world series…now that is funny

    2) I would get a custom chopper for sure.

    3) has to be wrigleys doublemint. Won’t chew anything else

    • http://www.prudychick.com Prudence

      chopper as in a motorcycle?

      • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

        absolutely.
A custom one…probably blacked out with a fatty exhaust

    1) Social Media keeps me on the defensive on April 1st. So no, I didn’t fall for anything this year.

    2) A car. Haven’t been able to put money aside for a new one. My Corolla is getting old.

    3) Extra (Spearmint?) The Green Pack. I’ve been chewing that gum since I was a kid. About 20+ years!

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

yes, a car would be nice :)

  • http://wvpv.me wvpv

    1. No, but it was fun getting the kids this year. we told them to watch out all day. they were completely paranoid. after they went to bed for the night, we papered their doors shut.
    2. I think I’d like to free from debt right now. So I guess, money.
    3. I’ve always been a Trident guy. Seems like the flavor lasts the longest.

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

that is awesome and a great idea. Sounds like you all are cool parents.

1- I fell for the Starbucks april fools joke… Baristas on scooters bringing you coffee based off your GPS location on your iPhone.

2- if I could get one thing for free right now it would be a house… I think that’s reasonable.

    3- I don’t chew gum.

    • http://www.prudychick.com Prudence

      Starbucks deliver would be awesome.

      • http://gbrenna.com Graham

It totally would be! Might get a little messy and the coffee might be cold though. I can just see people yelling on the corner “I said TWO sugars!!”

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

I didn’t even see that, but I probably would have fell for it as well. Pretty funny. In fact if I would have seen it I probably would have blogged about it :)

  • http://www.prudychick.com Prudence

    1. No
    2. A vacation to the beach or Austin or Virginia
    3. Stride Sweet Cinnamon

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

Oh a nice vacation would be awesome. I woud love to go to Austin

And I love some cinnamon gum as well.

    1. Almost. My wife sent me an email link to a hoax article that claimed the price of gas was going to go up $1.50 per gallon overnight. I was just about to warn my co-workers when I remembered what day it was.

    2. A new car for my wife.

    3. Wow, great question. I’m not normally a gum chewer, but I fondly remember cherry-flavored Chiclets from when I was a kid. Great gum, and then you could use the empty box as a kazoo! Yep, I’m really old…

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

haha, that would have been awesome.

Someone got me with something like that the night before. It was a link to an article that said the NFL lockout had been stopped and an agreement had been reached.

    1) I didn’t fall for a thing. Funny, because im pretty gullible and spent some time around some kids that love to TEASE me endlessly, i think the wasp we found in the bible study room during after school diverted their attention from fooling us. :)

    2) I want a banjo and banjo lessons. I think that would be epic.

    3) Dentyne Ice Arctic Chill is what i buy since my dad always had that growing up. But lately i just chew the gum my dad sends me in my monthly care packages, and ironically enough that’s some other random stuff that i don’t like as much but sweet since it’s free. :)

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

you would make an awesome banjo player. I can see it now

Fell for a couple – my sister saying she got in a car accident (not cool) and a blogger saying they were going to stop blogging.

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

ya I wondered if a blogger would pull that one.

    1. No thank goodness, I am NOT a fan of April Fools Jokes… i am so not good at taking a joke
    2. mmmm probably an ipad… or iphone if they paid my bill too… or a pair of Toms…
or the rest of my college tuition… that’d be awesome.
    3. idunno I like to buy what’s on sale. lol i love trident’s fruity gums so delicious

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

I like how you went from iPad to iPhone then to Toms and then to college tuition…that is awesome.

    1) No…..:)

    2) A minivan. Sadly, yes- I’ve turned in my man card years ago.

    3) No preference… but something that is super strong and powerful. I like gum/mints that burn my mouth.

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

dude….at least you could have said SUV or something like that. A minivan? Oh man, well you are a good dad for giving up your man card and caring for your two kids.

so this is old, but i’m bored and this is where the link from today’s took me :P

    1. April 1st is actually my birthday (no joke!), so people are usually pretty nice to me (except for the ever-popular-but-overused “Oh, I guess that means you’re just a joke” comment :P). This year was prank-free as well.

    2. a massage. spent the weekend at a women’s retreat sleeping on sketchy bunk beds that creaked when you move. not comfy at all.

    3. i’m a big fan of 5

  • nicole

    1. i just left the dollar theater where i say Lincoln Lawyer  (aside from stripper scene, good movie)

    2. free….a new car.  more specifically, a new 4 door jeep wrangler, in green with grey interior.  (not that i’ve thought or prayed about it)

    3. golf ~ i just don’t get it.  funny shoes, a metal pole, tiny ball, over manicured grass, and a swing of the hips.

    1. I watched a person come into work on crutches and in a brace. worked all day, dropped the crutches and went home walking like normal and never said a thing.

    2. My house. Escrow and taxes have caused our payment to make dramatic jumps in the last two years. Toughest expense I have.

    3. Bubble Tape

April Fools Day for my team at work, which includes a bunch of great pranksters, is always fun. We had the best April Fools Day legend from a few years ago when 2 of my team stole ALL, yes ALL, the coffee in the whole building before the day began. You can imagine the crankiness that followed from caffine deprived colleagues :) lol They were made to repent by being “coffee lads” taking a trolley around offering coffee to the 100 people in the building.

This was beaten this year when the Building Manager sent a prank email telling everyone that we’d received a special grant and overnight they’d installed a water recycling system onsite and all water from all taps (including drinking) was now recycled from onsite sewerage. A few staff got involved in adding to the plausibility of it. It was hiliarous watching so many people fall for it! LOL
