Some New Stuff

Kyle Reed // @kylereed

I have been working on a ton of new stuff lately. One that involves inspiration, one that involves collaboration, and then another that is a complete secret that you will have to wait to find out about.

I wanted to give you a quick update of a few new places that you can find me.

KyleReed.info

I launched my collaboration site last week and wanted to make sure you knew.
I call this place a collaboration hub.  The reason I see it as a collaboration is because it highlights all the different people that I have had the chance to work along side and dream with. Usually involving blogs, kylereed.info is a place that highlights the different projects I have been apart of and been able to work on.

Inspirations For The Inspired

This is one of my newest projects and is simple a site of inspiration. Two things are being accomplished with this site. I wanted to have a tumblr site and see what all the buzz was about tumblr and I wanted a place where I could post images and inspiration of art that I find from the web. I didn’t want to clutter my blog with a ton of graphics but wanted to have a place where I could put up about 8 or 9 pieces that could bring some inspiration to you and me.
This idea solely came from my mentor and friend Stephen Brewster. His Friday Night Likes series is and will be the best inspiration of the week each and every time.

Facebook

Facebook isn’t a relatively new thing, right? I have had facebook since early 2005 and have been hit or miss on my involvement there. But I am starting to try and engage more. Realizing that I have missed some community that happens in the news feed and friends that are there I want to be more intentional about my involvement in the facebook community. So go ahead and shoot me a friend request if we are not already friends. That would help me out a ton to be more engaged with you and this community.

The Future

Yes, there is a future. A couple of projects that I am working on are going to be solely for you. Projets that I have dreamed up that will take 10 years to develop or projects that have about another 10 days until they launch will all be announced very soon. I am very excited to see where we are all headed. What will happen with this community, what will happen with the community you are developing and what will become of the 20 and 30 somethings.

I would love to hear about the new projects or collaborations you have been working on recently. Please share them in the comment section.

Here is to the now, cheers.

hahaha, yes that idea was included. Check your DM’s

That’s awesome Kyle! I like your .info page. Mine is simply grahambrenna.com. It’s the Standard Theme in all white with no pages… just links. As far as other web properties go for me, it’s pretty much just gbrenna.com (original gangsta blog) and brenna.co (wedding planning blog). I would some day like to launch a more focused blog and gain a larger following. I’ve been reading the “Developing Great Blog Content” series on Tentblogger. I need a focus.

In the meantime, I’m just starting to work on a new series for gbrenna.com that I’m really excited about! It won’t launch for awhile as I am just now starting to lay out the content in a way that makes sense. But I think it could be really cool!

I have started offering my WordPress services to people (gbrenna.com/wordpress). I love the designs you’ve showcased on your .info page. That’s on a whole ‘nother level than what I’m able to do right now. If I’m not up to the task on a job I will be sending them to you for sure! When you do that kind of work for people, are you also designing their blog logos and everything?

love it graham, you are killing it with all those projects and services.

I do both, it just depends on the client. Most have an idea of what they want and then I execute the design and development. Very few have designed sites and just had me code them. i usually do both.

Thanks for sending them my way :)

Cool stuff Kyle; encouraged about your direction for all your outlets and SUPER pumped to see this new project get up and running.

My current work is developing ideas for fan interaction at and after shows. Still need some more tweaking, but I’m hoping to launch some by this fall.

You, sir, are an innovator! I’m already impressed and I can’t wait to see what you do with the world. :) As for moi, I’ve spent the weekend blog-dreaming… I’m thinking I’m going to quietly tailor it to people looking for a little bit of creative community. Or something like that.

I’ve got another project request for you: Can you get Mr. Brewster to post his Friday Night Likes on Fridays instead of Saturdays? He really throws us worship leaders for a loop….

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

i will work on brewster :)

  • http://lifeengaged.net Joseph

I checked out the site and it looks good. Simple and neat. I don’t have any big projects going on right now. But I am back and forth on starting to write my first book. I know I want to write a book but I’m just not sure what I want it to be on. I just need to start though. I really like how you represent the 20 and 30 somethings. I’m going to try to get more in involved in the community here. I’ve been kind of hit and miss. :)

    • http://thoughtsaboutnothing.com Kyle Reed

that is awesome Joseph. Love the heart of starting a book. You should definitely start and finish that project. Go for it man. This community of 20 and 30 somethings are here to encourage you
