Twitter Resources

I wanted to provide you a list of twitter resources that I think are worth your time. These tools will benefit you in getting the most out of twitter.
They range from link shortners to analytic tools.

I hope you find these tools useful.

1. Klout

Klout identifies influencers on select topics across the social interwebs.  It allows you to examine different areas of influence and also see other users of the profile you are looking at.

2. Proxlet

Proxlet is a tool that allows you to block apps, mute users, and filter tags on twitter. It cuts the “noise” that sometimes drives you mad.

Proxlet works with a lot of 3rd party applications that you might use to monitor twitter, Works with ChromeTweetDeck Twitter for iPhone and many others.

Start using Proxlet here

3. Search.Twitter.com

This is a tool that could very easily be the secret to twitter success. The tool is search.twitter.com and as one of my friends, Gary Vaynerchuk (ok, he doesn’t know he is my friend) says, search.twitter.com is one of the most important tools out there for anyone on twitter.

This tool allows you to see and follow what others are saying on twitter. In the past I have been quick to criticize search.twitter.com but after doing some research and reading I have found this tool to be just what my buddy Gary Vee was saying to be, invaluable. Stay tuned for some follow up post on how to use this tool effectively. If you need to know right now you can go and check out a post on BeDeviant.com from Justin Wise.

4. Twitter Widget

This tool will allow you to post your latest tweets on your website. Whether you use wordpress, blogger, or tumblr (really any website) this twitter widget function is the best way to go about adding your tweets to your site.

Allowing some customization with different background color and text font, twitter widget also gives some options on avatars, how many tweets to display, and the option to show hashtags. Make your own twitter widget here.

5. Nurph

Want to take that conversation farther then just 140 characters and a bunch of @ replies? Nurph gives you option to turn Twitter into a chat rooms. It works by simply tweeting a link to the chat room to let the conversation continue.

These are five resources for twitter worth checking out.

Do you have a twitter resource that you would like to share?
